The 23-year-old Brazilian has impressed this season, contributing 15 goals and eight assists in 42 appearances across all competitions. His performances haven’t gone unnoticed, with both Liverpool and Arsenal making contact with Real Madrid to inquire about his availability.

However, the potential arrival of Kylian Mbappé at Real Madrid next season has sparked speculation about Rodrygo’s future. While Manchester City and Manchester United have also shown interest, reports suggest Rodrygo has no intention of leaving the Bernabeu, even if Mbappé joins the club.

Cadena Ser claims Rodrygo views Mbappé’s potential arrival not as a threat, but rather as a sign of Real Madrid’s ambition, something he’s keen to be a part of. This stance could prove a significant hurdle for Arsenal in their pursuit of the young forward.

While Arsenal may face an uphill battle to convince Rodrygo to leave Real Madrid, his talent and potential are undeniable. His impressive goal contributions this season showcase his attacking ability, and at 23, he still has significant room for growth.

Whether Arsenal can convince Rodrygo to prioritise playing time over the allure of a potential project alongside Mbappé at Real Madrid remains to be seen but it seems unlikely.
