As Arsenal prepared to take on Sheffield United in a Premier League clash on Monday night, a few youth players were involved in their final training session of the week.

Myles Lewis-Skelly, James Sweet, Ayden Heaven, and Amario Cozier-Duberry could all be seen in photos of the training session, with Lewis-Skelly even appearing to end up on the winning team.

Lewis-Skelly is a midfielder, and he recently returned from injury to play for the Arsenal u21s against West Bromwich Albion last Monday.

The 17-year-old has often been involved way above his age group, and he continues to get chances with Mikel Arteta’s squad in training.

Sweet has made a few Arsenal senior squads this season, featuring on the bench against Porto in the Champions League, Burnley in the Premier League, and Brentford in the League Cup.

The versatile youngster is capable of playing a number of positions, but he generally operates as a right-back for the u21s.

Heaven is another versatile player who can play a number of positions, having broken through as a midfielder but often operating in defence this season.

The tall youngster has been involved in plenty of first-team sessions over the last few weeks and he’s being tracked by other Premier League clubs.

Finally, Cozier-Duberry is a winger with 11 goal contributions in his 17 games this season for the youth teams.

Arsenal fans may remember the youngster making a friendly debut for the first team against Juventus in late 2022, and he’s made the senior squad for competitive fixtures eight times so far.

Arteta has welcomed back a few of his injured senior stars in recent weeks, so there may not be space on the bench for any of the youth players to step up against Sheffield United.

But with the expanded Champions League benches, a spot in the squad to face Porto next week isn’t impossible.
