Bukayo Saka has been named the PFA Fans’ Player of the Month for February, after an impressive run of games for the winger.
Bukayo Saka has been in incredible form since the turn of the year, either scoring or assisting in all of his seven Premier League appearances.
The winger was particularly impressive in February, with six goals in four games, and the fans have recognised that by naming him the PFA Premier League Fans’ Player of the Month for February.
Saka has also won Arsenal’s Player of the Month award, becoming the first player to win that award twice in 2023/24.
The 22-year-old earned 56% of the fan votes in the Arsenal poll, putting him ahead of fellow nominees Martin Odegaard, Kai Havertz, and Declan Rice.
Sadly, it doesn’t look like being a clean sweep of the monthly awards for Saka, with rumours hinting that the Arsenal man has missed out on the Premier League’s official Player of the Month award to Rasmus Hojlund.
Though the award’s winner hasn’t been confirmed at the time of writing, leaks suggest Hojlund is going to take it ahead of Saka.
It would be a shame to see Saka miss out on the Premier League award, but the reality is that the vote is increasingly influenced by EA FC players who want to see their favourite in-game player receiving an upgraded card.
By contrast, the PFA award is purely a reflection of which player the fans thought had the best month, and Saka has come out on top.
The Arsenal star has kicked off March with another assist against Sheffield United, so he’ll be looking to ensure he’s in the running for this month’s award too.
