Arsenal have four injury concerns ahead of their match against Manchester City this weekend, with three likely starters still not yet passed fit.

Jurrien Timber is yet to play after his long-term absence, Bukayo Saka pulled out of England duty with a hamstring concern, Gabriel Martinelli has been out for a few weeks with a foot issue, and Gabriel Magalhaes also had to withdraw from international duty.

Charles Watts reports in his Daily Briefing that Saka is expected to be fit. The winger does have a slight muscle injury, but it’s not believed to be serious. As it stands, the hope is that he’ll be involved.

More concerning are the two Gabriels, with Watts suggesting both are genuine doubts for the match.

Arsenal hope Gabriel will shake off his injury to be involved, but it’s not a certainty right now. There’s little clarity over whether Martinelli could potentially be back as well.

As for Timber, he’s expected to miss out. The defender still hasn’t played any minutes for Arsenal, not even in last week’s youth friendly against QPR.

Thomas Partey and Takehiro Tomiyasu both featured in the friendly after their recent injuries, but Timber seemingly isn’t ready for that step yet.

As it stands, it looks like Saka should be back, and Gabriel has a decent chance, whilst Martinelli is less likely, and Timber won’t be involved.
