Jakub Kiwior is currently away on international duty with the Polish national team, hoping to help them to qualify for the European Championships this summer.

That means linking up with former Gunner Wojciech Szczesny, who is still the first-choice goalkeeper for the Polish national team.

Kiwior spoke to the Polish media about his international teammate this week, explaining that Szczesny had commanded him to bring a trophy to the Emirates Stadium.

“When I arrived at the training camp, I met Wojtek [Szczesny] and he told me: win it, win it!” Kiwior revealed. “He said he couldn’t watch Arsenal matches because he was nervous and stressed.”

The two players both went on to start and play 90 minutes in Poland’s first game of the break, their semi-final of the European Championship qualification play-offs against Estonia.

With Poland 1-0 up at half-time, Kiwior was caught on camera in the dressing room pushing for his team to do better.

“We can do five, let’s score five, f***!” Kiwior exclaimed to his teammates. “We are attacking all the time.”

Poland went on to score four more goals in the second half, winning the match 5-1.
