Arsenal have confirmed that youth goalkeeper Brian Okonkwo is going out on a work experience loan to Cheshunt FC until the end of the 2023/24 campaign.

Brian Okonkwo is the younger brother of fellow Arsenal youngster Arthur Okonkwo, who is currently out on loan with Wrexham in League Two.

Brian was previously on loan with Leatherhead earlier this season, having also spent a game with Hitchin Town on an emergency loan last year. But he returned early and played a few games for the Arsenal u18s between November and February.

The 18-year-old has now found a new club to complete the season with.

Cheshunt FC play in the Isthmian League Premier Division, the seventh tier in the English football pyramid.

The team aren’t having a great season, sitting 18th of 22 teams in their division. With a goal difference of -14 and 19 defeats in 33 games, they could do with a bit more security at the back.

With any luck, Brian Okonkwo will get plenty of games and help the side to improve their defensive record.
