Mikel Arteta has earned another accolade for his leadership as Arsenal manager, being crowned the Premier League’s Manager of the Month for February.

This recognition comes after a dominant month where the Gunners secured four wins, showcasing their revitalised form under Arteta’s guidance, scoring 18 goals and conceding just two.

Arsenal‘s February campaign was a testament to Arteta’s tactical acumen and the team’s relentless spirit. The month kicked off with a thrilling 3-1 victory over Liverpool, reigniting their title challenge. They followed it up with decisive wins against West Ham (6-0), Burnley (5-0), and Newcastle (4-1), demonstrating their attacking prowess and defensive solidity.

Superstition squashed?

Some have questioned whether the Manager of the Month award is a ‘curse’, with teams often faltering after their manager wins it. Arteta, however, brushed aside those concerns, pointing to a string of victories following previous accolades: “I won it [the award] and then we won many games, so that superstition is gone”.
