Arsenal legends Thierry Henry and Theo Walcott aren’t worried about the Gunners’ Champions League campaign, despite Wednesday’s defeat.

Arsenal suffered a bitter late defeat to FC Porto on Wednesday night, with the home side curling in a 94th-minute winner to take a 1-0 lead into the second leg.

What was perhaps even more concerning was the lack of great chances for the Gunners. Mikel Arteta’s side edged the shot count seven to six, but failed to get any of them on target.

Even so, former Gunners Thierry Henry and Theo Walcott aren’t too worried about Arsenal’s chances of progression.

Speaking on CBS Sports, Henry was asked if Porto’s late winner made him sick.

“Roll the tape, [what] I said last week and you’ll see I don’t feel sick,” Henry responded. “There is a return leg. I’m relaxed.”

Walcott was even more confident about his former team’s odds of turning things around at the Emirates Stadium.

“It was always going to be narrow,” Walcott said. “Of course it was. These games always are. But like I say, these aren’t won over one leg.

“I’m still confident Arsenal, with the home support particularly, with the way the Emirates is at this moment in time, that they’ll be able to go through quite comfortably to be honest with you.

“I don’t think it’ll be as tight as this tonight, and I think it’ll be a lot more open.”

We won’t get an immediate answer to the question of whether Arsenal can turn the tie around, with the home leg not taking place until March 12th.

Before that, the Gunners have Premier League fixtures at home to Newcastle United, away to Sheffield United, and at home to Brentford.
