Arsenal have announced two pre-season friendlies against Manchester United and Liverpool in the USA this summer, with a third rumoured to be in the works.
Arsenal have officially confirmed their first two pre-season friendlies ahead of the 2024/25 campaign, with the Gunners set to face Manchester United on July 27th and Liverpool on July 31st.
Both games will take place in the USA, with the United game being hosted at the SoFi Stadium in Los Angeles, and the Liverpool match at the Lincoln Financial Field in Philadelphia.
As part of his statement on the tour, Edu Gaspar said: “We look forward to making further announcements about our trip soon.”
Rumours from Arsenal fixture insider Arsenal Fixture News suggest the Gunners could be set to play Wrexham in Las Vegas in a third pre-season game overseas.
Arsenal have loaned Arthur Okonkwo to Wrexham for the current campaign, so they’re building a relationship with the League Two club.
With Wrexham owners Ryan Reynolds and Rob McElhenney based in the United States, and with the success of their club TV documentary Welcome to Wrexham, there’s obviously a market for the Welsh side on the other side of the Atlantic.
Wrexham played against Chelsea and Manchester United in pre-season fixtures last summer, and it seems Arsenal are next on their shortlist. But the club are yet to confirm that.
“It’s great to be visiting the US again this summer,” Mikel Arteta said of the tour.
“Our matches against Manchester United and Liverpool will be great preparation ahead of the new season.
“Our tour last year was a real success and it’s always an amazing experience to play in front of our passionate supporters in the US. We’re looking forward to returning and seeing everyone again.”
