Juventus has been reportedly tracking Arsenal‘s promising midfielder Charlie Patino for an extended period, as per Calciomercato.it.

Patino, aged 20, currently on loan at Swansea, has been gaining attention from the Italian giants who are focusing on recruiting younger talents for future transfers.

The interest from Juventus in Patino, an Arsenal academy graduate, comes as the Turin-based club shifts its transfer strategy towards younger players. Cristiano Giuntoli, recently appointed to oversee Juventus‘ transfers, is said to have been following Patino’s progress for a considerable time.

Giuntoli, formerly with Napoli, has reportedly been keen on the Arsenal loanee but has not made a definitive move, possibly due to Patino’s current loan arrangement.

Despite rumours of a potential move in January, which did not materialise, Juventus‘s interest in the young midfielder remains strong.

Patino, who joined Arsenal from Luton’s youth setup in 2015, has been marked as one of the brightest prospects emerging from Hale End. His development and potential have evidently caught the eye of major European clubs, including Juventus.

Arsenal‘s valuation of Patino, given his high potential and academy background, will play a crucial role in any future transfer negotiations. With the summer transfer window approaching, it appears more likely for Juventus to consider a move then but it is still not certain that Arsenal will let him leave.

The decision on Patino’s future at Arsenal will significantly depend on Mikel Arteta‘s plans for the young midfielder. At the end of 2022 with patino’s contract due to end in the summer of 2023, Arsenal activated a two-year option on Patino’s contract, tying him to the club until 2025, after reports he would be leaving the club.
