After a challenging December in the Premier League, Arsenal are receiving a strong message from football pundits across England: the team’s key to success lies in signing a new striker.

This sentiment gained further momentum following Arsenal’s recent 2-1 defeat to Fulham, highlighting a significant gap in their offensive line-up.

Following Arsenal‘s recent struggles in the Premier League, football pundits in England are of one mind: the team urgently needs to sign a new striker. The call for reinforcements comes in the wake of Arsenal‘s 2-1 defeat to Fulham, where forwards Eddie Nketiah and substitute Gabriel Jesus failed to make any impact.

The discussion among experts and in the media has brought up several names as potential signings for Arsenal.

Ivan Toney from Brentford, Dominic Solanke of AFC Bournemouth, and Napoli‘s Victor Osimhen have been frequently mentioned, with Osimhen seen more as a summer target.

BBC commentator and former striker Chris Sutton shared his thoughts, particularly regarding Ivan Toney, who is currently suspended for violating gambling regulations. “Arsenal are trying to win the title, so they can’t afford for someone to have to come back in first,” said Sutton. He suggested Dominic Solanke as a better option for Arsenal.

Jermaine Beckford, a former Everton striker, also weighed in, stating that Arsenal are just one centre-forward away from being serious title contenders. “It will be an interesting month. I’d go for Toney, but I wouldn’t put all my hopes on him. He’s been out for a long time. It takes time to get used to the pace of the Premier League,” Beckford said.

Jamie Redknapp, a former Liverpool player now at Sky Sports, commented on Arsenal‘s recent performances against West Ham United and Fulham, calling them a ‘clear reality check.’ He suggested that Arsenal need to be innovative in their search for a new striker, even considering a loan signing as a possible solution.

With Arsenal now fourth in the Premier League table, the pressure is mounting for them to strengthen their squad in the January transfer window.

The consensus among football pundits is clear: to keep their title hopes alive, Arsenal need to find a reliable striker soon.
