Arsenal were eliminated from the FA Cup by Liverpool on Sunday, and a couple of their loan players joined them in exiting the competition.

Brooke Norton-Cuffy and Runar Alex Runarsson are both currently suffering from minor injuries, so they could do nothing but watch as Millwall and Cardiff City were dumped out by Leicester City and Sheffield Wednesday respectively.

But there was some good news over the weekend too, with Charlie Patino scoring as Swansea City beat Morecambe 2-0, and Arthur Okonkwo keeping a clean sheet as Wrexham beat Shrewsbury Town 1-0.

Three other Arsenal loanees remain in the competition, but haven’t yet guaranteed their spot in the fourth round.

Albert Sambi Lokonga played 67 minutes as Luton Town drew 0-0 with Bolton Wanderers to set up a replay, and Nuno Tavares helped Nottingham Forest to come from behind to draw 2-2 with Blackpool for a replay of their own.

As for Omar Rekik and Wigan Athletic, they face Manchester United on Monday night, after the fourth-round draw takes place. Rekik is currently injured, so he won’t be involved in the match.
