Arsenal are expected to sign Emily Fox during the January transfer window, and, although there has been no confirmation from either Arsenal or North Carolina Courage, the player seems to be already in training with Arsenal.

Fox, known for her ability to play on both the right and left flanks, will be a key acquisition for the Gunners, who are signing her as a restricted free agent.
In women’s football in the USA, a “restricted free agent” is a player whose contract has expired with their current team, but they are not entirely free to sign with any other team.
The restrictions typically include the original team having the right to match any offer the player receives from another team, or receiving compensation if the player signs elsewhere.
This arrangement is a common feature in collective bargaining agreements in leagues, aiming to balance player freedom with team rights.
The image, which seems to feature Fox, was quickly removed from Getty, but not before Arsenal sleuths had spotted it.
One even pointed out that the person in this image is wearing Under Armour boots, which is the company that sponsors Fox.
