Trabzonspor are actively pursuing Arsenal’s Mohamed Elneny, signalling their intent to strengthen their squad.
Alongside Elneny, the club is also considering Beşiktaş’s Valentin Rosier, demonstrating their strategic approach to the transfer market.
The ambition of Turkish Super League giant Trabzonspor to sign Mohamed Elneny from Arsenal continues to gain momentum. The club, aiming to strengthen its squad for the second half of the season, is reportedly increasing its efforts to secure the services of the experienced Egyptian midfielder.
Elneny, who previously played for Beşiktaş in the 2019-20 season, could see a return to Turkish football if the move to Trabzonspor materialises. The club, under the guidance of coach Abdullah Avcı, is keen on adding an experienced midfielder to their ranks and has identified Elneny as a key target.
Trabzonspor’s determination to sign Elneny is boosted by the fact that he will be available on a free transfer at the end of the season. Avcı has reportedly given his approval for the pursuit of Elneny, believing the Egyptian player would be a valuable addition to his team.
In addition to Trabzonspor’s interest, Elneny is also attracting attention from clubs in Arab countries. The midfielder is expected to make his final decision after evaluating all offers, with his contract at Arsenal set to expire in the summer.
Trabzonspor is also exploring the possibility of signing Valentin Rosier. Rosier, who has been sidelined at Beşiktaş, has been recommended to Trabzonspor. Avcı, who is looking to strengthen the right-back position as well, is yet to make a final decision among the various candidates being considered.
