Arsenal’s Brooke Norton-Cuffy has been one of the club’s more consistent loanees this season, playing a regular role for Championship club Millwall.

The right-sided defender has occasionally played at right-back for Millwall, but he’s been utilised as a wing-back much more often, and he’s started to involved in the goals and assists in recent matches.

Last month, Norton-Cuffy scored the first goal of his loan spell, netting Millwall’s fourth goal against Sheffield Wednesday.

The 19-year-old then provided his first assist in a draw with Sunderland earlier this month, before scoring his first goal at home on Saturday.

Norton-Cuffy was starting for Millwall against Huddersfield Town, and this time around his goal wasn’t exactly the cleanest finish.

The Arsenal youngster pounced on a rebound, attempting to poke the ball home from close range. But his initial shot was saved, and it rebounded again back towards him.

Norton-Cuffy had no time to react, but he was fortunate to see the ball cannon back off him and over the goalkeeper, before he prodded it over the line to make sure the keeper couldn’t make a third save.

The right-wing-back could have scored a second after that, but Duncan Watmore couldn’t quite get it through to him for a tap-in when well placed.

Unfortunately, Millwall were made to pay for failing to secure victory, as a handball led to a 97th-minute penalty equaliser for the away side.

All the same, Norton-Cuffy’s goal contributions have earned his side their only two points in their last six games, so he can be pleased with his personal progress.

Milllwall travel away to Stoke City next, on Saturday, December 23rd at 15:00 GMT.
