After losing a Champions League final to Kai Havertz and Jorginho, Gabriel Jesus says he now wants to win the competition with his new teammates.

Kai Havertz and Gabriel Jesus were the goalscorers as Arsenal won 2-0 against Brighton over the weekend, with the three points taking them back to the top of the Premier League table.

The Gunners also played their final Champions League group game earlier in the week, drawing with PSV Eindhoven having already guaranteed a finish on top of their group in the previous matchday.

After Sunday’s game, Havertz and Jesus both spoke to the media, and Jesus made it clear they’re targeting the big prizes this season.

“We always joke, [Havertz] won a Champions League against me,” Jesus said, referring to Chelsea’s win over Manchester City.

“Now I want to win with him, and Jorgi (Jorginho) as well.

“He’s an amazing player, you know, the way he plays. He’s so strong, tall, and then quality. He helps us a lot.

“Fighting every time and helping the team, the way this guy runs is massive. So yeah, we’re very happy we have him.”

Jorginho was absent from Arsenal’s clash with Brighton due to a foot injury, but he’s also playing his part in the team’s positive form.

Mikel Arteta recently praised the midfielder as “another coach” in the squad, after he was spotted giving tactical advice from the sidelines during matches.

With Jesus and Havertz now getting amongst the goals and Jorginho bringing his experience to help the squad to improve, the Arsenal fans have license to dream about where this season could go.
