Arsenal loanee Mika Biereth has had a strong start to his loan spell with Motherwell FC, with only a knee injury sustained in August holding him back.

The Arsenal 20-year-old had scored and assisted on his debut before suffering that injury, and he returned to fitness with another goal and assist in late October.

Since then, Biereth has continued to produce, albeit not quite with the same frequency as in his first two Scottish Premiership appearances.

Before last weekend, Biereth had four goals and two assists in seven games, and he made it five goals in eight with another strike against Dundee FC.

With less than six minutes on the clock, Biereth pounced on a loose ball on the edge of the penalty area, firing the ball into the net via the post.

It was an impressive finish from the Danish u21 international, and you can watch it here or below.

Motherwell ended up falling behind in the match twice after that, fighting back with equalisers on both occasions. The match finished 3-3.

Biereth will next get a chance to add to his goal tally against Ross County on Tuesday at 19:45 GMT. The youngster is just two goals off the top of the league’s top scorers tally as it stands.
