Arsenal are reporyedly showing interest in Sporting players Viktor Gyokeres and Ousmane Diomande again, while also dealing with Juventus’s interest in young midfielder Charlie Patino.

As you’d expect ahead of the January transfer window, Arsenal are actively exploring options, with manager Mikel Arteta focusing on strengthening the squad.

Recent reports suggest Arsenal’s interest in two Sporting players, Viktor Gyokeres and Ousmane Diomande, while a potential move involving Juventus and Arsenal midfielder Charlie Patino is also being reported.

Portuguese media, particularly O Jogo, have highlighted Arsenal’s interest in Gyokeres and Diomande.

Diomande, a promising centre-back, has been on Arsenal’s radar since he was 18 and playing for Mitjylland.

Gyokeres, a former Coventry City player, has garnered interest from Arsenal due to his goal-scoring prowess, which could address Arsenal’s need for more firepower upfront.

However, any potential transfer for these players in January would likely require Arsenal to trigger their substantial release clauses, estimated at €80m for Diomande and €100m for Gyokeres.

Both players are also attracting interest from other Premier League clubs. Should Arsenal seek a more cost-effective deal, they might need to wait until the summer transfer window.

In another report, Juventus are showing interest in Arsenal’s young midfielder Charlie Patino, who is currently on loan at Swansea City.

Italian media, quoting market intermediary Michele Fratini, report that Juventus are considering Patino to add quality to their midfield.

To potentially lower the cost of acquiring Patino, Juventus could include Moise Kean, a striker with Premier League experience, in the negotiation.

Kean, who joined Juventus in 2021 for €30m, has struggled to find form this season but has been heavily linked with Arsenal in the past.

Patino’s performances at Swansea City have been impressive, with three goals and four assists in 17 Championship appearances.

However, any move for Patino in January could be complex due to his loan agreement with Swansea, which extends to the end of the season.
