Arsenal have entered the competition to acquire Lucas Beraldo from São Paulo, ready to invest up to €30 million for the young Brazilian defender, according to a report.

This move aims to edge out competing interest from Liverpool and Leicester City.

20-year-old Lucas Beraldo has caught the eye of several Premier League clubs, including Arsenal. Under Mikel Arteta‘s management, Arsenal are considering integrating Beraldo directly into their first team or possibly loaning him out for further development.

Beraldo, primarily a centre-back with the ability to play as a defensive midfielder, is currently valued at €15 million. Born in Piracicaba, Brazil, he is a left-footed player, standing 1.82 meters tall.

He has been with São Paulo since 2020, and recently extended his contract until December 31, 2028.

In his performances this season, Beraldo has played in eight Paulistão A1 – Primeira Fase matches, eight Copa do Brasil matches, and 24 Série A matches, scoring one goal.

He also participated in the Paulistão A1 – Fase Final and the Copa Sudamericana, bringing his total appearances to 48, with 4,199 minutes on the pitch.
