Negotiations are reportedly underway for Arsenal loanee Nuno Tavares to potentially switch clubs, with Galatasaray expressing interest.

According to reports from Yeni Şafak, a Turkish news outlet, discussions are in progress for Tavares’ transfer during the upcoming winter window. Tavares, who is currently on loan at Nottingham Forest, has been struggling to find regular playing time, sparking interest in a move.

Initially expected to return to Arsenal in January after being left out of multiple Nottingham Forest squads, Tavares’ future took a turn following the appointment of Nuno Espirito Santo as the new manager of Forest.

This development saw Tavares making a return to the Premier League squad for the first time in seven games.

Tavares’ loan period at Forest has been fraught with challenges. He played the first three games following his move but was then sidelined by an injury. After his recovery, Tavares was relegated to the bench for games against Liverpool and Aston Villa, and subsequently, he did not featured in the squad at all.

Despite this, no injuries were reported, and Tavares continued training with the team.

This three-month hiatus from playing led to signs of frustration from Tavares, notably deleting his Instagram account following a match he missed against West Ham. These actions were perceived as a clear indication of his dissatisfaction with the lack of game time.

Last summer, Tavares had the option to move to Galatasaray but chose to stay within the Premier League. In the meantime, Galatasaray acquired Angeliño on loan from RB Leipzig, with an obligation to buy if he plays 20 games.

However, Angeliño’s performance has not met expectations, and discussions are now ongoing about his potential transfer to Ajax.
