Arsenal are making moves to offload Cedric Soares, with Turkish clubs Besiktas and Trabzonspor showing interest.

The 32-year-old fullback’s limited use has put him on the potential exit list this January.

Arsenal are looking to part ways with fullback Cedric Soares, as the player finds himself on the fringes of the first team again this season. Having previously attempted to sell him over the summer, the club now sees the January transfer window as another opportunity for his exit.

Turkish giants Besiktas and Trabzonspor have emerged as potential destinations for the 32-year-old.

According to sources from Foot Mercato, both clubs have expressed interest in and made contact for Cedric.

This season, Cedric has made only three appearances for the Gunners, totalling 134 minutes of play. His involvement has been limited to a single match in the EFL Cup against Brentford in September and a start in the Champions League group stage final match this month.

In the previous season, he clocked just 405 minutes on the field for Arsenal before being loaned to Fulham, where he played just 286 minutes.

Soares’ journey with Arsenal began with a loan move from Southampton, costing the club an exorbitant €10 million, before making the switch permanent in the summer of 2020.

Since then, there has been a perception that Arsenal have been eager to offload him in every window.

His contract with Arsenal is set to expire in June, and his current market value stands at around €2 million.
