Recent reports suggest that Crystal Palace’s bid to sign Arsenal striker Eddie Nketiah has been rejected by the Gunners.
The club’s firm stance comes amidst growing interest from other Premier League teams, including West Ham.
Crystal Palace’s interest in signing Arsenal striker Eddie Nketiah has reportedly been rebuffed by the Gunners, according to recent reports.
Football Insider had previously indicated that Arsenal were open to selling Eddie Nketiah but had set a price tag of £40m for the striker, who is under contract until 2027.
The Daily Mail now reports that Crystal Palace have expressed their desire to sign the 24-year-old forward and made an inquiry. However, their approach has been met with resistance from Arsenal, who are reluctant to let go of Nketiah mid-season.
Like Arsenal, Cyrstal Palace are keen to strengthen their attack in January and have had Nketiah on their radar for some time. With Arsenal‘s stance, Palace will have to divert their attention to other targets.
The situation regarding Nketiah’s potential transfer could evolve as the January window progresses, but, as of now, Arsenal seem intent on retaining the striker.
This season, Nketiah has contributed six goals and four assists in 25 competitive appearances, starting in 12 of these matches, averaging a goal or assist every 116.8 minutes.
West Ham are also among the clubs that have shown interest in Nketiah.
