When questioned about a potential return to Feyenoord, where he was on loan during the 2021-22 season, Nelson responded with a grin.

Speaking to RTL, he recalled his former coach Arne Slot, saying, “The coach and I have a good relationship. I helped Feyenoord a few years ago and I developed very well there. But I have signed a new contract with Arsenal, my heart is with this club at the moment.”

During his tenure at De Kuip, Nelson made 33 appearances across all competitions for Feyenoord, scoring twice in the Eredivisie and playing a key role in the Conference League tournament.

That season, Feyenoord reached the final but were defeated by Italian side AS Roma.

Following his time at Feyenoord, Nelson returned to Arsenal, where he played 18 games last season, including 11 in the Premier League.

He scored the winning goal in stoppage time against Bournemouth, helping Arsenal turn a 0-2 deficit into a 3-2 victory.

Currently, Nelson is awaiting his first goal of the season in Arsenal’s main squad, having extended his contract with the club until mid-2027.
