Arsenal have reportedly tabled a €20 million offer plus bonuses for Santos’ striker Marcos Leonardo.
Arsenal have reportedly made a significant move in the transfer market by offering €20 million plus bonuses for Marcos Leonardo, the young striker from Santos.
This bid comes amidst Santos’ relegation to the second division, which seems to have opened the door for Leonardo’s potential move to Europe.
Leonardo, 18, has been on the radar of several top European clubs, but Arsenal’s bid places them in a strong position to secure his services.
Manchester United and Roma have also shown interest in Leonardo, but Arsenal have allegedly stepped up their pursuit in response. The proposed deal would bring Leonardo to the Emirates Stadium from January 1, should the clubs agree on terms.
This season, Leonardo has scored 21 goals, with four assists, in 49 games, averaging a goal or assist every 165 minutes.
He is currently valued at around €25m.
