After a thrilling match at Kenilworth Road on Tuesday night, Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta has provided an update on his team’s status going into the upcoming weekend’s fixture against Aston Villa.

Concerns were raised regarding Gabriel Martinelli, who endured several heavy challenges during the game and was subsequently substituted.

Addressing questions about the Brazilian forward, Arteta offered a positive outlook. “I think everybody is going to be okay,” he said.

However, the situation is less clear regarding Thomas Partey, who has been absent since undergoing a medical procedure earlier in the season.

There had been speculation that Partey might be ready for the upcoming Liverpool match, but Arteta tempered expectations. “We don’t know; he is getting a very good evolution of the injury, but it’s a bit early to get a timeframe. That will be incredibly fast if he’s able to do that, so we will have to wait,” Arteta explained.

Arsenal will also be without Takehiro Tomiyasu, who will be out for some time with his recent calf injury.
