Oleksandr Zinchenko has been nominated for the Premier League Goal of the Month award for his November strike against Burnley.
The Premier League have announced their nominees for the usual monthly awards, including Goal of the Month, for which Oleksandr Zinchenko has received a nomination.
Zinchenko scored his goal against Burnley after the ball spilled to him following a set piece.
The left-back leapt up and pulled off an acrobatic volley into the top corner of the net, with an unusual technique that certainly caught the eye. You can vote for the goal here.
Zinchenko was nominated alongside seven other players in the November vote, as follows:
- Mohammed Kudus (West Ham) vs Brentford
- Cameron Archer (Sheffield United) vs Wolves
- Pablo Sarabia (Wolves) vs Spurs
- Simon Adingra (Brighton) vs Sheffield United
- Raheem Sterling (Chelsea) vs Newcastle United
- Michael Olise (Crystal Palace) vs Luton Town
- Alejandro Garnacho (Manchester United) vs Everton
Garnacho is the favourite to win the award for his overhead kick, but we’ll see what the voters decide.
The fan vote will close on Monday, December 4th at 12:00 GMT.
The result will then be combined with choices from a panel of experts, with the announcement of the winner to follow next week.
