Arsenal defender Gabriel Magalhães, in a recent interview with ESPN, shared his views on his teammate Gabriel Jesus, who has been under scrutiny for his performance in the national team but is enjoying a good phase at Arsenal.

Magalhães highlighted Jesus’ importance to the Arsenal squad, acknowledging his significant contribution despite the criticisms he faced.

“We know his qualities, that he is a great player and he is helping us a lot. Here at Arsenal, he is in a very good moment and he is a very important player for us,” Magalhães stated, reinforcing the positive impact Jesus has had at the club.

The defender also addressed Jesus’ self-critical remarks regarding his goal-scoring abilities.

After a defeat to Argentina, Jesus admitted that scoring goals was not his strong suit.

Magalhães, however, chose to express confidence in Jesus’ abilities. “I didn’t even see what he said, but we trust him a lot,” he said, underlining the team’s faith in Jesus’ skills and contribution.
