Arsenal and Manchester City are reportedly interested in acquiring Aston Villa‘s Brazilian midfielder, Douglas Luiz, who is valued at a staggering £100 million.

The interest in Luiz comes amidst Aston Villa’s impressive performance in the Premier League, where they currently sit in third place (on goal difference) under the guidance of coach Unai Emery.

As per Football Insider, Luiz’s valuation stands at £100 million, a figure that seemingly does not deter the two Premier League giants.

Both Arsenal and Manchester City are considering making their moves in the upcoming winter transfer window.

However, Aston Villa will be reluctant to part with Luiz during the season, especially given their remarkable results so far.

Douglas Luiz, known for his technical prowess and tactical versatility, has been a key player in Aston Villa‘s recent success. His skills were already well-recognised, but Aston Villa’s ascent in the league has brought him into the spotlight, attracting attention from top clubs.

The Brazilian midfielder, initially brought to Europe by Manchester City from Vasco da Gama, had a stint on loan at Girona before being sold to Aston Villa in 2019.

Since then, Luiz has shown exceptional growth, establishing himself as one of the most talented midfielders in the English championship that Arsenal tried hard to sign previously before he renewed his deal with Villa.
