Leandro Trossard, reflecting on Arsenal‘s 1-0 victory over Brentford, expressed satisfaction with the team’s performance despite his goal being disallowed for offside. He highlighted the team’s belief in their ability to score late in games, noting their success in netting goals in the final minutes.

“It was a tough game,” he told Arsenal.com. “It’s a shame that my goal was ruled out for offside, otherwise I think we’d have been in a better position, but it was a great winner from Kai for us and I’m happy with the three points.

“We have belief. We know that a goal can be scored in the 90th minute of a game. With the extra time now added on in every game, we play longer and you need to be focusing on those minutes. We’ve scored a lot of goals already this season in the last 10-15 minutes, so there is where you can decide games.

Discussing his position, Trossard mentioned his comfort playing anywhere upfront, emphasising his flexibility and focus on contributing to the team’s success.

“I played in the left pocket and I enjoy playing everywhere up front to be honest,” Trossard said. “It doesn’t really matter to me. I am just happy that we got the win at the end and can look forward to the next game.”

A significant aspect of Trossard’s time at Arsenal has been his on-field chemistry with Bukayo Saka.

Trossard commented on this, saying, “I get along with B really well. It’s not that I ignore passes from other players, it’s just a coincidence, but I always try to get in the right positions and it’s B who sets up my goals.

“I’m sure there will be someone else in the next games or I will be assisting other players.”

He also spoke highly of Saka’s character, describing him as a “lovely guy” and easy to talk to about anything.

“The character, B is such a lovely guy and always down to earth,” Trossard said. “You can speak to him about everything. It’s nice chatting to him.”

Regarding his adaptation to Arsenal, Trossard feels he has settled in well, crediting the team for being welcoming and helping him integrate quickly.

He is enjoying his time at the club as he approaches the end of his first year at Arsenal.

“I’m really enjoying it,” he said. “I think I settled in pretty quickly. It’s a great team and they help you from the first day and try to get you involved in everything. That makes it so much easier to settle in and feel welcome.”
