Arsenal loanee Kieran Tierney is back in training with Real Sociedad after injury, almost two months after his last game for the club.
Arsenal loanee Kieran Tierney has been out injured since September, when he was forced off in the first half of Real Sociedad’s win over Athletic Bilbao.
The injury was later confirmed to be a hamstring injury, and it was clearly a serious one, with Tierney missing every October fixture and the whole of November so far too.
But Real Sociedad had a positive update for the fans on Friday, confirming that the left-back is now back in training.

“Kieran has suffered a major muscle tear,” Real Sociedad boss Imanol Alguacil said at the time of the initial injury. “It’s a shame. It’s a significant injury, but it’s not an extraordinary one.
“It was a classic muscle tear that will take him time to recover from. But he will recover and we hope as soon as possible.”
The timing of the injury was certainly a shame, with Tierney catching the eye with a clever assist in his last full game before the injury.
Tierney made six appearances for Real Sociedad before his injury, and he’ll hope his recovery before the midpoint of the campaign will now give him a long run of games before the season is up.
The good news is that the team have stayed competitive in Tierney’s absence, sitting in sixth in La Liga and top of their Champions League group.
Real Sociedad have already confirmed their progression to the knockout stages of the Champions League, with only the issue of the group winner left undetermined.
