Juventus have engaged in discussions with the agents of Arsenal‘s midfielder Thomas Partey regarding a potential transfer during the upcoming winter window.

The Serie A giants are actively seeking a midfield reinforcement following Paul Pogba’s suspension.

Italian football giants Juventus have reportedly held meetings with representatives of Arsenal midfielder Thomas Partey, as they eye a transfer in the upcoming winter window.

The Serie A club are seeking a replacement for Paul Pogba, who is currently suspended due to a positive test for the banned substance DHEA.

Partey, known for his significant contributions to Arsenal, has been limited to just five appearances this season due to injuries.

His pivotal role in the Gunners’ recent Premier League campaigns, when fit, has made him a valuable asset at the Emirates Stadium. However, the arrival of Declan Rice at Arsenal last summer suggests that manager Mikel Arteta might be considering options for the team’s future without Partey.

The Ghanaian international’s potential move comes as Juventus looks to strengthen its squad amidst Pogba’s uncertain future. Pogba faces an anti-doping tribunal and could be banned for up to four years if found guilty, leaving a notable gap in Juventus’ midfield.

Juventus’ interest in Partey aligns with their strategy to reinforce their squad, as they are also linked with moves for Sassuolo’s Domenico Berardi and Napoli’s Piotr Zielinski.

Juventus manager Massimiliano Allegri is reportedly keen on moving quickly in the transfer market to bolster the team’s competitiveness.

In addition to targeting Partey, Juventus have shown interest in Manchester United’s Jadon Sancho. The English winger’s time at United has been marred by a public spat with manager Erik ten Hag and subsequent removal from the first team.

Despite United’s openness to Sancho’s departure, they prefer a sale rather than a loan, complicating any potential deal.
