Last season’s finalists Arsenal have drawn Crewe Alexandra at home in the third round of the FA Youth Cup, to be played in December.

Jack Wilshere took his Arsenal u18 side all the way to the final of the FA Youth Cup last season, but the young Gunners fell at the final hurdle to league champions West Ham United.

Premier League sides enter the competition in the third round, so Wilshere will return to the Youth Cup when those fixtures take place next month.

The draw has now been made, with Arsenal getting a home match against Crewe Alexandra.

The game will be played at Meadow Park, and must take place before Saturday, December 16th. The kick-off time will be 19:00 GMT, unless mutually agreed otherwise.

For now, those are the only details we have about when the game will take place, so we’ll have to wait for Arsenal and Crewe Alexandra to sort those out.

Arsenal kicked off last year’s cup run at Meadow Park as well, winning 6-0 against Millwall.

The young Gunners went on to secure a late victory over Newcastle, a comeback win over Watford, another comeback against Cambridge United, before knocking out Manchester City in extra time of the semi-finals.

The final proved to be a step too far, with Arsenal losing to West Ham United at the Emirates Stadium. Perhaps this year could be the one they go all the way.

The likes of Myles Lewis-Skelly, Ethan Nwaneri, Noah Cooper, and Michal Rosiak will be eligible to feature in the competition again this year, having still not hit the age limit.

However, last season’s regulars Amario Cozier-Duberry, Bradley Ibrahim, Reuell Walters, and Lino Sousa have all aged out.
