Arsenal winger Amario Cozier-Duberry was in the starting lineup for the England u19s on Wednesday as they played Romania, as one of three friendlies over the November break.

It took less than a minute for the young Gunner to have an impact, scoring with a calm finish.

Cozier-Duberry had received the ball in space on the right-hand side of the box, and he took a touch before directing a shot past the goalkeeper.

Cozier-Duberry then went on to help England add to the score when his cross was fumbled to Jamie Donley in the 14th minute, with Donley converting for 2-0.

The Arsenal man ended up playing an hour, coming off for Ronnie Stutter.

Arsenal left-back Lino Sousa is also involved in the England u19 squad over the break, and he came off the bench for the final 19 minutes of the contest. The match ended 6-0.

England face Japan on Saturday, November 18th at 13:00 GMT and Mexico on Tuesday, November 21st at 17:00 GMT in the remainder of the break.

Cozier-Duberry is yet to make his debut for the Arsenal first team, but he was called up to the Champions League squad for the first time as the Gunners took on Sevilla earlier this month.

The winger’s strong form at youth level with Arsenal and England make him a contender for future call-ups over the rest of the season, especially with all of Arsenal’s injuries and suspensions right now.
