Despite the club’s efforts to secure his future at Arsenal, Asemota’s indecision over a scholarship deal has created uncertainty about his stay beyond the 2024-2025 season.

Arsenal face the risk of losing Owen Asemota, a promising goalkeeper, to other Premier League rivals.

Despite Arsenal’s intention to retain Asemota for the 2024-2025 season, he has received significant interest from top Premier League clubs.

Asemota, an England U16 international, has been offered a scholarship deal by Arsenal to stay at the club until at least June 2026. However, his hesitation to accept the deal has cast uncertainty over his future.

Four of the ‘big six’ Premier League teams, including Manchester United, Manchester City, Tottenham Hotspur, and Chelsea, have shown ‘concrete’ interest in signing the teenager.

Additionally, according to All Nigeria Soccer, Aston Villa are monitoring Asemota’s situation closely,

Asemota, who is currently in his final season as a schoolboy, has already made a mark in youth football, being part of the England squad that won the Val-De-Marne Tournament in November.

He also has caps for England at the U15 level. His talent was further recognised when he was promoted to Arsenal’s first team training in January 2023 and received his first U18 call-up against Fulham in the same month, highlighting the high regard in which he is held by Arsenal’s coaching staff.
