Arsenal are reportedly leading the pack in pursuit of Israeli midfielder Oscar Gloukh.

The 19-year-old has been the subject of widespread interest following his standout performances at the European U19 Championship last summer.

Gloukh, who has been with Red Bull Salzburg since his transfer from Maccabi Tel Aviv, has drawn attention not just from Arsenal but also from the likes of Manchester City, Manchester United, and Tottenham.

His skill was on full display during Israel’s Euro 2024 qualification campaign, particularly in the match against Kosovo at the Bloomfield Stadium in Tel Aviv.

His tenure at Salzburg has been marked by strong performances, prompting inquiries from Barcelona and Villarreal, who had previously shown interest, as well as from other European clubs including Milan and Monaco.

The midfielder’s heroics for Israel in the U21 Championship, where he scored the winning penalty in the quarter-final shootout against Georgia, have only heightened his profile.

Last season, Gloukh’s statistics were impressive, with 11 goals and 10 assists in 50 appearances across all competitions, and he managed two goals and two assists in the Austrian Bundesliga from 15 games.

Currently valued at €8 million, Gloukh’s preference for a future in England or Spain could see him moving to the Premier League, with Arsenal appearing to be the most likely destination.

As Arsenal continues to focus on bringing young talent to their squad, Gloukh could be the next promising addition to their ranks.
