Premier League giants Arsenal and Chelsea eye Brazilian prodigy

Gabriel Moscardo, an 18-year-old Brazilian midfielder from Corinthians, has become a highly sought-after player, with Arsenal and Chelsea particularly keen on signing him.

Neil Jones, reporting for Caught Offside, notes that while Liverpool have shown some interest, it’s the London clubs, Arsenal and Chelsea, who are more actively pursuing Moscardo.

Arsenal, in particular, are looking to strengthen their midfield in the long term, and Moscardo appears as a viable replacement for Thomas Partey.

Chelsea, known for accumulating young talent, have already secured several signings in that position this year, which could influence their interest in Moscardo.

Despite Liverpool’s tendency to wait for South American talents to acclimatise to European football, Moscardo has caught the eye of England’s big guns at an early stage in his career.

However, Liverpool’s recent strengthening of their midfield and their more cautious approach might give Arsenal and Chelsea an edge in the race to secure Moscardo’s signature.

The competition between Arsenal and Chelsea is expected to intensify, especially with reports suggesting that Moscardo might remain at Corinthians until next summer.

This battle between the two clubs could be pivotal in shaping the next phase of Moscardo’s burgeoning career.
