Leandro Trossard and David Raya have been nominated for a couple of the Premier League’s monthly awards for September.
With October now underway, the Premier League have announced their nominees for their various monthly awards, and Arsenal players feature in both the Goal of the Month and Save of the Month categories.
Leandro Trossard has been nominated for his goal against Everton, with the Belgian international sweeping home a finish on his weak foot to give the Gunners a 1-0 victory.
The move began as a set-piece routine, but Arsenal quickly reset and pulled Everton apart with fast passing.
Martin Odegaard played Bukayo Saka in behind on the right-hand side, and Saka’s cutback found Trossard for an expert finish going in off the post.
Trossard has been nominated alongside seven other players, and you can watch the goal and vote here.
As for Save of the Month, David Raya was nominated for his stop against Tottenham Hotspur.
With Son Heung-Min getting in behind the defence and cutting back for Brennan Johnson, a goal seemed an inevitability.
But the Gunners’ summer loan signing raced across and clawed the ball to safety, drawing applause from squad rival Aaron Ramsdale.
The save has to be one of the favourites among the six stops nominated for the September award, and you can watch it back and vote for it here.
The Save of the Month winner will be announced next week, with voting closing on Monday, October 9th at 12:00 BST.
The Goal of the Month award will also be announced next week, with the voting closing at the same time.
