Gabriel Jesus has won the Champions League’s Goal of the Week award for his emphatic finish against Sevilla.
The official Champions League social media pages confirmed on Friday that Gabriel Jesus had won their Goal of the Week award for his finish against Sevilla on Tuesday.
The Arsenal striker received the ball from Declan Rice on the left-hand side of the box, before facing up his man, cutting inside, and firing a shot into the top corner from a tight angle for 2-0.
It was a beautiful goal, and one worthy of the accolade.

The goal ended up being the difference-maker for Arsenal, as the Gunners conceded to make the final score 2-1.
Jesus also had a big part to play in the opening goal, spinning a couple of defenders before playing a through ball to Gabriel Martinelli, who finished calmly.
So it was no surprise to see Jesus also nominated for the Champions League’s Player of the Week award, with the winner of that award set to be confirmed imminently.
Arsenal’s Jesus-inspired victory has the Gunners top of Group B, one point ahead of Lens and four points ahead of Sevilla and PSV.
Mikel Arteta’s side will take on Sevilla at home next, before hosting Lens on Matchday 5 and travelling to PSV on Matchday 6.
