Arsenal demonstrated their title credentials with a crucial victory over Manchester City.

The Gunners had to contend with multiple questionable refereeing decisions but remained focused to claim all three points.

Arsenal goalkeeper David Raya didn’t have to make a single save, testament to the defence’s capability.

The decisive moment was a Gabriel Martinelli goal three minutes from time, to the  exhilaration of the home crowd.

In a thrilling Women’s Super League match at Leigh Sports Village, Arsenal Women managed a 2-2 draw against Manchester United, thanks to a last-minute equaliser from Cloe Lacasse.

Despite initially taking the lead and dominating the game, Arsenal made errors, including an air kick by goalkeeper Sabrina DiAngelo, that allowed United to level and take the lead.

Arsenal head coach Jonas Eidevall and player Lia Walti later praised the team’s resilience, emphasizing the need to carry this momentum into their next match against Aston Villa.

Arsenal u18s

In a dramatic match, Arsenal’s u18 side overcame a two-man disadvantage to secure a 2-1 win over Leicester City.

The young Gunners, managed by Jack Wilshere, have been no strangers to controversy and tension in recent weeks. Between the September and October international breaks, they kicked off with a chaotic 2-2 draw against Reading and a 4-0 win over Southampton, only to be defeated 3-2 by Chelsea, with red cards featuring in each of those games.

Against Leicester, they faced another testing moment when Reece Evans missed a first-half penalty for the opposition. The situation worsened after Chido Obi was sent off and Leicester’s Kaleb Dyke scored.

However, Arsenal fought back with a Michal Rosiak free-kick and a late goal from substitute Omari Benjamin, with Kamarni Ryan instrumental in both scoring opportunities.

The drama was not over, as Benjamin was also sent off late in the game, but Arsenal’s nine men held on for a hard-fought win.

Next up for the Arsenal u18s is an away game against Middlesbrough on Saturday, October 21st at 11:00 BST.
