The win elevated Arsenal to third in the Premier League, but it also raised new injury concerns.

Saka had to be substituted midway through the second half after once again receiving zero protection from the referee. In his post-match press conference, Arteta spoke about Saka’s condition, saying: “It was a pretty bad knock. I don’t know how he’s feeling now; I haven’t had a chance to speak to him. But hopefully, we can get him back.”

The winger was injured in the 76th minute following yet another robust challenge. Arteta suggested that the injury could have been exacerbated by a stamp in the same area.

Additionally, Gabriel Jesus, was seen limping after the match.

The decision to include Saka in the starting lineup against Bournemouth was a late one.

Arteta disclosed that multiple key players, including Declan Rice, Gabriel Martinelli, Leandro Trossard, and Saka himself, had not trained since the North London derby against Tottenham the previous weekend.

Rice has been dealing with back discomfort, while Martinelli sustained a hamstring injury in a match against Everton. Trossard is also suspected to have strained his hamstring during training, although he was on the bench against Bournemouth.

Thomas Partey and Jurrien Timber are both currently unavailable due to various injuries while Fabio Vieira is carrying a knock.

As the team prepares for the upcoming Champions League game against RC Lens this Tuesday, the growing injury list could present Arteta with some choices to make, especially with Manchester City next up for Arsenal in the Premier League.
