Aaron Ramsdale had a few interactions with the Brentford end during Arsenal’s League Cup win on Wednesday night, as he kept a clean sheet.
Arsenal goalkeeper Aaron Ramsdale came back into the Gunners’ starting lineup on Wednesday night, following a three-game run in the team for recent addition David Raya.
Raya is currently on loan from Wednesday night’s opponents Brentford, though they had granted him permission to play in the League Cup tie if required.
Instead, Mikel Arteta opted to give Ramsdale an opportunity for some minutes, and the manager was rewarded with a top performance and a clean sheet from the England international.
Ramsdale made three saves and completed some impressive passes to help Arsenal to their 1-0 win, but he also got involved in some banter with the home end at Brentford’s ground.
After his best save of the match to keep out Yoane Wissa, Ramsdale turned to the home fans in celebration.
The full incident can be seen in the broadcast coverage of the match, from save to celebration.

A few minutes later, with Brentford’s goalkeeper coming up to try and help them to find a late equaliser, Ramsdale again turned to the crowd with a grin on his face after making a high claim to seemingly finish the contest.
