Martin Odegaard shared his reaction to his new chant both on the pitch and on social media after Arsenal’s weekend win over Everton.
Over the weekend, Arsenal fans finally got a new chant going for Martin Odegaard, which was long overdue.
There have been a couple of attempts to get different songs going, but none of them really worked before Sunday’s trip to face Everton.
Fans at Goodison Park to watch Arsenal’s 1-0 win sang for Odegaard on the terraces and in the concourse, and the player showed his appreciation after the game.
In one fan-filmed clip, Odegaard could be seen applauding and fist-pumping towards the supporters as they sang.

Odegaard also shared a video of the chant on his Instagram story with the caption “Love it. Thank you all.”
For those struggling to catch all the lyrics, the chant goes as follows:
“Been dreaming all day, of our number eight, Martin Odegaard – oi, oi, oi! When he’s on the ball, he’s f***ing magical, Martin Odegaard – oi, oi, oi! Du du du du du, du du du du du, du du du du du, oi, oi oi!”
Arsenal fans have come up with some great player chants in recent years, from “Saka and Emile Smith Rowe” to the Saliba take on “Tequila”, the Zinchenko version of “Gold”, and so on.
Fabio Vieira had a ready-made chant upon joining, Declan Rice already has “Rice, Rice, Baby”, but Odegaard was long overdue the same recognition for supporters.
If the new chant takes off at the Emirates Stadium, that will change at last.
