Incident under scrutiny

While Arsenal emerged victorious over Manchester United, Metropolitan Police are investigating an alleged assault on former United captain Roy Keane.

Keane and Micah Richards, a former Manchester City defender, were working as pundits for Sky Sports during the match.

Sky Sports have stated that Richards was attempting to “defuse a situation”. The Daily Mail claim that Keane was allegedly headbutted.

The police are also scrutinising footage circulating on social media, which could help clarify the circumstances surrounding the incident.

Arsenal’s Statement

Arsenal issued a statement indicating their awareness of the incident and full cooperation with the ongoing police investigation.

However, the club refrained from making any further comments.
