Mikel Arteta is up for the Premier League Manager of the Month award once again, receiving a nomination for August 2023.
The Premier League have confirmed their nominees for the Manager of the Month award for August 2023, with Mikel Arteta joining Pep Guardiola, Jurgen Klopp, David Moyes, and Ange Postecoglou in the running.
Arsenal won against Nottingham Forest and Crystal Palace in the early weeks of the campaign, before an unfortunate draw with Fulham to end the month.
The win over Manchester United was in September, and therefore doesn’t count towards the award.
The fan vote closes at 12:00 BST on Monday, September 11th, and anyone looking to vote can do so here.
Arteta has won six Manager of the Month awards already with Arsenal, putting him ahead of the likes of Jose Mourinho, Carlo Ancelotti, Mauricio Pochettino, and Roy Hodgson.
The Arsenal boss has also received three of the last five awards, winning in November/December, January, and March.
Guardiola is probably the favourite this time, with Manchester City winning all three of their games in August, despite having lost out on the Community Shield to Arteta earlier in the month. We’ll see what the vote decides.
