Arsenal have confirmed the scheduling of their Carabao Cup fourth-round tie against West Ham United.

The game is set to kick off at 7.30pm on Wednesday 1st November.

The encounter has also been chosen for UK broadcast by Sky Sports.

This comes as the Gunners sandwich the fixture between Premier League matches at home against Sheffield United and an away game at Newcastle United.

This tie provides West Ham‘s Declan Rice with his first chance to go up against his former club, provided he’s fit and not rested for the match.

The announcement follows Arsenal’s victory over Brentford in the third round of the competition, where they secured a spot to face the Hammers away.

West Ham also entered the League Cup in the third round due to their European commitments this season. They progressed by overcoming Lincoln City with a 1-0 away win.

The scheduling provides some balance for both teams. Arsenal will have a short recovery period before heading off to play Newcastle United away from home later in the week.

However, Newcastle will likely face a similar quick turnaround, as they have been drawn to play Manchester United, who themselves will have played Manchester City in a Premier League derby the previous Sunday.

This could mean Newcastle’s League Cup match will also take place on the Wednesday, offering Arsenal a slight advantage of an extra day’s rest going into the West Ham fixture.

The fourth-round draw also revealed other fixtures, including Mansfield Town vs Port Vale, Ipswich Town vs Fulham, Manchester United vs Newcastle United, AFC Bournemouth vs Liverpool, Chelsea vs Blackburn Rovers, Everton vs Burnley, and Exeter City vs Middlesbrough.
