McCabe and Ilestedt in women’s shortlist

Both Katie McCabe and Amanda Ilestedt have been included in the 30-player shortlist for the Women’s Ballon d’Or.

McCabe’s stunning performances have not only earned her Arsenal’s Player of the Season but she also captained the Republic of Ireland during the 2023 World Cup.

On the other hand, Ilestedt’s star performances have been pivotal in Sweden’s strong World Cup showing, garnering her the Bronze Ball.

Saka and Odegaard’s remarkable season

Men’s team players Bukayo Saka and Martin Odegaard have also found their names in the 30-player men’s shortlist.

Saka was also crowned the PFA Young Player of the Year for 2022/23, while Odegaard’s exploits have been critical in Arsenal’s near title win, contributing 15 goals and numerous assists.
