Arsenal’s fixtures for the Conti Cup group stages have been confirmed.

Arsenal, will find themselves pitted against Tottenham Hotspur, Bristol City, Southampton, and Reading.

Had Arsenal secured a position in the Champions League group stage they would have proceeded straight to the quarter-finals.

However, as they were eliminated in the qualifying rounds in Sweden earlier this month, they will now participate in the group stage of the Conti Cup.

The schedule is as follows:

  • Arsenal will host Bristol City at Meadow Park on Thursday 9th November, with kick-off at 7pm.
  • The Gunners will then travel to Southampton‘s St Mary’s Stadium on Thursday 23rd November, where the match will begin at 6.30pm.
  • Tottenham Hotspur will visit Meadow Park on Wednesday 13th December, with the match starting at 7pm.
  • Arsenal will play their final group stage game against Reading at the Select Car Leasing Stadium on Wednesday 24th January, also at 7pm.

What this all means is that Arsenal have a packed fixture list.

Notably, in their final week before the Christmas break, they will play against Chelsea at the Emirates Stadium, followed by two matches against Tottenham Hotspur within a week.

The first will take place at Meadow Park, and the second will be hosted at Brisbane Road.

The importance of these fixtures cannot be understated, particularly as Arsenal are the current holders of the Conti Cup. They won the trophy last year, defeating Chelsea in the final. The upcoming matches provide an opportunity for the team to defend their title and perhaps serve as a morale boost following their Champions League exit.

In summary, Arsenal’s participation in the Conti Cup group stages is set, with home fixtures against Bristol City and Tottenham Hotspur and away games against Southampton and Reading.

Although they missed out on Champions League qualification, the Gunners will be aiming to make their mark in this competition, beginning with their first match against Bristol City on 9th November.
