Arsenal academy graduate Ryan Alebiosu first joined the club at the age of seven, spending 14 years in north London before his permanent departure was confirmed on Wednesday.

Arsenal and KV Kortrijk announced a permanent transfer between the two clubs, with Kortijk confirming a three-year deal for the player in Belgium.

Alebiosu didn’t end up making a first-team debut for Arsenal, despite making it into the squad a couple of times in early 2022.

The youngster was also yet to feature at any level for the Gunners this campaign, as an exit started to look inevitable.

Alebiosu spent last season on loan with Kilmarnock in the Scottish Premiership, and he generally featured regularly for the side.

The 21-year-old made it up to 29 appearances in all competitions for his loan team, including 17 starts.

But as Kilmarnock hit crunch time for their season, Alebiosu suffered an unfortunately-timed setback.

Kilmarnock confirmed that Alebiosu had picked up an injury, ruling him out of their final four matches.

Though Alebiosu hasn’t played since then, he was evidently fit enough to pass a medical with Kortrijk.

The Belgian Pro League side are next in action against Anderlecht on Sunday, September 17th at 15:00 BST. We wish Alebiosu luck with what looks like a tough start!
