Former Gunner Stephy Mavididi has made a strong start to life back in England, with a goal and an assist in his first two games for Leicester City.

Stephy Mavididi hasn’t wasted any time getting into the good books of the Leicester City fans since his July transfer, helping them to win their first two games back in the Championship.

Former Arsenal academy forward Mavididi was first involved in a dramatic finish on his debut against Coventry City, with Leicester coming from behind to win.

1-0 down with 13 minutes to go, Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall drew Leicester level with a headed finish. Then in the 87th minute, Mavididi set Dewsbury-Hall up with a short pass leading to his second goal of the game.

After his assist to win Leicester the three points on the opening day, Mavididi went one further by scoring the winner in his second game.

Picking up the ball on the left-hand side in the 73rd minute against Huddersfield Town, the forward shimmied around the outside before firing a low finish through the goalkeeper’s legs.

Just two games into the season, Leicester are already one of just two teams with a perfect record so far.

They sit second in the table behind Ipswich Town, and Mavididi certainly had his part to play in their strong start.
