La Liga side RCD Mallorca are in ongoing negotiations for the transfer of Rob Holding, though Luton Town remain in the race for the centre-back.

Fabrizio Romano reports that RCD Mallorca asked for the conditions of a potential deal for Rob Holding on Wednesday, with negotiations ongoing.

Though Mallorca are the club currently pushing for a transfer, Romano adds that possible alternatives in the Premier League remain on the table, with Luton Town making contact over a move on Monday.

Other clubs in La Liga and the Premier League have also been linked with a move, including Sevilla, Wolves, and Crystal Palace.

Football Insider and the Evening Standard reported this week that Wolves and Palace were among the Premier League clubs interested in a deal, though there are no reports of a bid from either team just yet.

Holding made 24 appearances for Arsenal in all competitions last season, but he’s yet to make it onto the pitch for a competitive game in 2023/24.

Earlier in the window, David Ornstein broke the news that Besiktas had submitted an offer to sign Holding worth €2.5m (£2.14m), but that was far below what Arsenal might consider to sell the defender.

Arsenal rejected the bid, with Holding still having a year left on his contract and an option to extend to 2025.

With all the reports of interest from England and Spain, you’d think the Gunners could find another buyer before the deadline on Friday.
